Ahuruezeama Favour Egeonu was born on 15th August 1965. He had his primary and secondary school education in Umuahia, Abia State and later proceeded to Nigeria’s premier university, University of Ibadan where he graduated with honours degree in Psychology.  He joined the Nigerian Navy in 1985 and is still serving.  From July 2011 to August 2014, Egeonu was in India as a Defence Administrative Officer in Nigeria High Commission, New Delhi where he served creditably. He is a member of the Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management and Nigerian Institute of Management. Ahuruezeama Favour Egeonu is married to Precious and they have two children, Victor and Joy. Egeonu has great passion for community service and mentoring.
